Sketch 302 - Ashley Smith

Hello everyone, Ashley here. Today I'm sharing my layout for sketch 302.

I followed the sketch really closely, although I did change the location of the title.  My title is pretty long and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room.

For the embellishment cluster I used some die-cuts, flair and sequins.  I wanted to keep thing pretty simple because the papers I chose for each triangle had some busy patterns on them.

"Wild Heart" with Sketch 302

Hello everyone!  Audrey here with you today to share my page with you for sketch #302!

I took a little bit of a different approach to this sketch.  When I saw the large triangular area, I thought it would be a good opportunity to use a large shaped photo.

I filled in the other squares and triangles with patterned papers and used a visual triangle of embellishments.

My clusters contain some flowers, clear stickers, and acetate pieces.

Lovely today I Anne Keller

Hey there, Anne here. I'm so excited to share my layout for sketch #302 with you today.

I started my layout with arranging the cardstock triangles and matting them with some large cutfiles.

Instead of three I picked only 2 photos and a vellum card from Pinkfresh Studio. And then I used a whole bunch of bulky embellishment and even layered them. I love the effect.

Here is sketch #302 for you. Make sure you join in the fun.

Sketch #302- Card Day by Marielle LeBlanc

Hello, Marielle here today and I am so happy to share 2 cards created with the January sketch # 302.

For my first card, I used the sketch as is but created a small diagonal pocket to insert my tag. The small triangles were machine stitched to plain cardstock then stitched to the card base (2 sides only).

You are wonderful
The supplies are from Simple Stories -Posh collection.

Here's a close up of the tag. I added ribbon, jute twine and a button to embellish the tag.
Finished card measures 4"X 5".

For my second card I flipped the sketch and created a square card then used a circle die
to cut it into a circular shaped card.
I layered a few of the ephemera tags from the Gather collection (and Jillibean Soup)
then I added a floral flair and paper clip and a few pop dots.

Thanks a bunch
Supplies are from Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes-Gather collection.

Don't you just love these cute little tassels !

Oh Joy - Sketch 302 by Majken Pullin

Hello everyone!  Majken here today to share with you my design take on sketch 302 - isn't it awesome?!  For this month's sketch, I opted to flip it 180 degrees.  Also, the Pinkfresh Studio Oh Joy collection is just gorgeous (they are our sponsor for January!), and the 6x6 paper pad was perfect for the cut file sections.  I also used some embellishments from Oh Joy as well as Fancy Pants Merry & Bright (the puffy dots stickers)...they matched well!  Here's my layout inspired not only by the sketch but also the Oh Joy papers and the font used for that collection.  Take a look.

I used the cut file created for the sketch on a sheet of white textured cardstock, cut papers from the 6x6 pad to fit into the triangles, then sandwiched them on top of a full sheet of white textured cardstock.  I sewed along the cut file for some additional texure.  Cut files and sewing are a favorite combo of mine!

These photos of my kiddos from 2010 are perfect with these gorgeous papers!  I loved tucking in the ephemera and puffy stickers.  I created my own sewn tag using the acrylic "on the nice list" piece to put in the bottom right.  It was fast and easy!  I cut some Oh Joy paper to the same shape as the acrylic shape and sewed!

For the title, I purchased the font "Hello Sunshine" and cut out "Oh Joy" because I was so inspired by the collection's logo!  I used an enamel star as the dot for the "j".

I hope this page has inspired you to get some Christmas photos scrapped!  If you use the sketch, please post to the Creative Scrappers blog using the InLinkz widget.
